Dr. Terri Sears 

Dr. Sears received her DVM degree from the Ohio State University in 2000, graduating in the top 10% of her class. Prior to attending veterinary school, she earned an MBA and held various positions in business. Seeking to use her skills and talents to have a positive impact on the lives of animals and the people who love them, she returned to her childhood dream of becoming a veterinarian and has dedicated her efforts to preserving and enhancing the human-animal bond. Dr. Sears is also a valued member of multiple veterinary organizations. Dr. Sears lives in Fishersville with her husband, Jeremy, a National Park Service Park Ranger, and her two sons Brayden and Caleb.  She has two cats, Oscar and Ruby, and one dog, Charlotte.  

Michelle Skinner, LVT, RVT 

After spending 10 years in retail management, Michelle decided to change gears and pursue a career in the veterinary field.  She graduated magna cum laude from Blue Ridge Community College's Veterinary Technology Program in 2008, holds licensure in Virginia and Maryland, and is an active member of NAVTA and VALVT.  Michelle has completed the Hills-Science Diet Veterinary Nutritional Counselor program, and is currently completing similar programs with Purina and Royal Canin.  In her spare time, Michelle enjoys watching Ravens football, spending time with family and friends, taking day trips, writing, and helping out local charities.  Her current household in Rockingham County includes her husband (Ted), two standard poodles (Picasso and Solomon), and a Quaker parrot (Harpo).

Monica Frias, Client Service Coordinator/Veterinary Assistant

Monica began working with animals in 2003 - she helped her trainer/instructor Jessica with sales horses and preparing for shows, while taking dressage lessons for 2 1/2 years.  She then went to work in a small animal clinic in Washington State.  Monica moved to Virginia in 2008 to be closer to her parents.  She lives in Augusta County with her husband Jeff and their daughter Kayla.  They have 3 cats (Phoebe, Pita, and Cojak), 2 horses (Noah and Peter the Pony), 2 ferrets, a guinea pig, and a rabbit.  Monica enjoys reading, horseback riding, and being with her family.  "Animals are wonderful!  They bring joy into your life, and keep life exciting with all their antics!"
